Number of people in need of health aid in conflict region MENA 2020, by country
In 2020, the number of people in need for health assistance in conflict and risk countries in the Arab region was the highest for Yemen at about 14 million. Although the COVID-19 cases in the region were low by international standards, the conflict and humanitarian crises which left more than 57 million people in those countries in need of humanitarian assistance even prior to the pandemic made them vulnerable to a greater threat.
