Main causes of deaths in Kenya 2019
HIV/AIDS and sexually transmitted infections were the most frequent cause of casualties in Kenya as of 2019, with a rate of almost 104 deaths per 100,000. That year, Kenya was the fourth country worldwide with the highest number of AIDS-related deaths. In addition, cardiovascular diseases, and respiratory infections and tuberculosis caused high number of deaths compared to other disorders, by a rate of 81 deaths per 100,000 and 76 deaths per 100,000 respectively.
