Japan: home preparation against flood damage 2021

According to a survey conducted on natural disaster prevention among mothers in Japan in February 2021, amounting to 38.5 percent, the majority of respondents stated that their homes were rather unprepared for flood damage caused by torrential rain or typhoons. Only seven percent answered that they were prepared enough.
Typhoons develop over the Pacific Ocean and are likely to approach Japan between June and October, during the peak of the typhoon season.
