Higher education graduation rate in the U.S. 2000-2016 This statistic shows the higher education graduation rate in the United States from the 2000/01 academic year to 2015/16. The graduation rate includes all those who completed their higher education certificate or degree within 150% of normal completion time. The graduation rate has remained relatively constant over time and most recently in 2015/16 the graduation rate stood at 49 percent.
