Europe was by far the leading region in 2023 in terms of the number of employees, as it accounted for more than 27 percent of the Holcim's workforce. The solution and product segments also employed over 13 thousand personnel, while the Asia Pacific, Middle East, and Africa segments had 12,447 employees.

Lafarge and Holcim completed their merger on 10 July, 2015 and launched the new LafargeHolcim Group on 15 July, 2015. In 2021, the group shortened its name to Holcim.
