Feeling of insecurity in Latin American and Caribbean countries, 2012
The statistic above provides information on the feeling of insecurity in the neighborhood in Latin American and Caribbean countries. In 2012, 44.8 percent of the population in Bolivia stated that they felt insecure in their neighborhood. The feeling of insecurity is in part explained, at an individual level, by the fact that the neighborhood is affected by gangs, by lower interpersonal trust, by being the victim of a crime, and by a negative perception of the police force.
