This statistic shows the number of passenger movements to and from the Republic of Ireland landing or embarking from airports in the United Kingdom between 2003 and 2020. The number of passenger movements to and from Ireland was increasing from 2003, reaching around 12.4 million passenger movements in 2006. However, air travel to Ireland fell dramatically during the recession and by 2013 was still not showing signs of recovery, but an increase was observed in the following year. In 2020, the number of passenger movements dropped to 3.1 million due to the coronavirus pandemic.
