Air travel movements between the United Kingdom (UK) and the EU 2003-2020
This statistic shows the number of passenger movements to and from the EU landing or embarking from airports in the United Kingdom between 2003 and 2020. The number of passenger movements increased until 2007, when it peaked at 126 million passenger movements, but subsequently fell during the recession. By 2019, this number again increased, reaching above 170.2 million passenger movements. In 2020, due to the coronavirus pandemic, the number decreased to 40.4 million passengers.
