Leading Windows malware strains 2019
Trojans remain the leading tool for cybercriminals to attack Windows systems. As of 2019, the most widely-distributed malware family was Agent, a program which involves standard Trojans infecting an operating system. According to AV-Test, Agent accounted for 8.19 percent of all detections during the measured period. Virlock ranked second with a 5.81 percent share.
