What is Influencer Marketing?
Influencer Marketing uses specifically opinion makers with a wide-reaching community on especially social media platforms for marketing and communication purposes. The goal is to increase the value and credibility of one's own brand, based on the target group’s trust in the influencers. Many enterprise brand strategists and marketers stated in a 2017 survey that Influencer Marketing will be integrated in all their marketing activities. 27 percent of these respondents even believed that it will become a primary marketing channel.

In fact, another poll from 2018 found that Influencer Marketing is already an integral marketing component for 21 percent of Swedish e-commerce companies. In most cases, companies paid influencers in a Cost Per Mille (per thousand views) way. Other payment methods include, amongst others, a fixed price and Cost Per Click.
