
Quarterly tourism spending in the Canary Islands 2019-2021
After the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on tourism worldwide in 2020, which was reflected in the expenditure of visitors in the Canary Islands, this destination experienced a steady recovery in 2021. For instance, in the last quarter of that year, the total spending of tourists amounted to roughly 3.6 billion euros, only 14 less than in the same quarter of 2019.
