Deaths from influenza in Spain 2005-2021, by gender
In 2021, the number of deaths from influenza amounted to 24 cases in Spain, showing a significant decrease compared to previous years. By gender, the influenza virus caused the deaths of 14 men and 10 women in the European country as of that date. With fewer exceptions in 2014, 2016, and 2021, women died more than men from this respiratory disease in Spain during the analyzed period.
