This statistic depicts the results of a survey conducted in Italy as of September 2017. The survey’s aim was to find out investors’ attitudes towards environmental, social and governance (ESG) criteria and their inclination to carry out socially responsible investments (SRI). Particularly, in the given statistic, Italian retail investors were asked whether they were informed about their bank investments and about the industry sectors their banks were investing in. According to the findings, only four percent of respondents stated to be very well informed about their portfolio. A large proportion of the interviewed investors (35 percent) declared to be quite informed about the areas in which their banks were investing their money.
