The import value of pharmaceutical products in Italy experienced a growth trend from 2006 to 2013, when the value achieved 20.7 billion euros. In 2014, the import value slightly decreased, but then it grew again and it reached almost 30 billion euros in 2020, more than double the value recorded at the beginning of the period under consideration.
