Biomass energy production and consumption in Denmark 2016-2021
Denmark produced an estimated 1.5 million metric tons of oil equivalent worth of biomass in 2021. This compared to a consumption of some 3.7 million metric tons of oil equivalent that same year. Both production and consumption figures increased when compared to the previous year, up from approximately 1.4 and 3.1 million metric tons of oil equivalent, respectively.
