Physicians using digital communication channels in Italy 2019, by type
The results of a survey on the share of physicians revealed the spread of the use of digital channels to communicate with patients in Italy. As of survey period, e-mail was the tool most commonly used by both medical specialists and general practitioners. In addition, 65 percent of general practitioners interviewed, and 57 percent of medical specialists surveyed declared to use WhatsApp to get in contact with patients.
