
Top five occupation groups for women in Canada 2015-2018, by sexual orientation
In Canada, heterosexual women are more likely than others to work in business, finance and administration occupations. Over the 2015-2018 period, one-quarter of heterosexual Canadians aged 25 to 64 worked in this sector, compared to 22.5 percent of bisexual women, and 19.3 percent of gay women. In addition, the leading occupation group for non-heterosexual women was sales and services occupation: 26.9 percent of bisexual women, and 22.7 percent of lesbian women.
