Perceptions on the future of Europe 2007-2018

This statistic presents the optimistic and pessimistic attitudes of European citizens regarding the future of the European Union, from 2007 to 2018. After experiencing some fluctuations between 2010 and 2016, public optimism slightly increased again to 61 percent. In comparison, pessimistic perceptions had their peak in 2011 at 46 percent, but by 2018 they declined to 34 percent.
