According to a survey in Singapore in 2020, around 32.6 percent of respondents stated that they would quit their jobs if they could support themselves as a professional video game player. The prize money from gaming tournaments keeps rising and educational institutions have started to offer classes in gaming. It is not uncommon therefore that there are more people considering video gaming as a possible professional career nowadays.
