Share of preferred sports for sons by parents in Italy 2019, by parent gender
In 2019, Italian parents claimed to be very happy in case their sons would practice sports like swimming, basketball or volleyball. As reported by the survey published by YouGov Italia, swimming was the preferred sport for sons by Italian parents. Indeed, fathers and mothers that preferred swimming consisted of respectively 91 and 93 percent of all respondents. Conversely, boxing was the least favorite sport for sons among Italian fathers and mothers.
