Most valuable soccer players currently on loan worldwide 2019
As young players, footballers often get sent out on loan to gain more match experience, while older players are sometimes loaned out because they have fallen out of favor with their parent club. One example of the latter is Philippe Coutinho, who joined German champions, Bayern Munich, on loan at the beginning of the 2019-20 season from Spanish giants, FC Barcelona. Despite not being able to hold down a starting position in the Barcelona team, Coutinho was still valued at 96.5 million euros in November 2019.
