In 2018, a survey carried out in England found that 87 percent of parents with children aged between eight and fifteen years of age who required hospital treatment fully understood the health information provided to them by the hospital staff. A further twelve percent of parents of children in the oldest two age groups provided understood the information about their children to some extent.
