U.S. adult sentiments towards brand statements related to BLM 2020

Considering the perception of brand statements on the Black Lives Matter (BLM) movement in the United States, a study from 2020 found, that over time, more people started thinking that brands primarily wanted to get publicity. While at the beginning of June only 25 percent of respondents thought that BLM was addressed by brands for publicity reasons, the share increased to 34 percent in October.
