Poverty rate in Tunisia 2020, by region
In 2020, the Central-Western region of Tunisia had the highest poverty rate in the country, at nearly 31 percent. It was followed by the North-Western region with a poverty rate exceeding 28 percent. On the other hand, Grand Tunis had the lowest rate in the country at around five percent. Large disparities in terms of wealth were observed in Tunisia, particularly between rural and urban areas.
