Japan: thermal power generation capacity forecast by energy source 2031

The installed power generation capacity of thermal power in Japan was forecast to reach over 154.1 million kilowatts in 2031, decreasing slightly from around 155.3 million kilowatts in 2021. LNG was estimated to constitute the energy source with the highest generation capacity, reaching over 83 million kilowatts in 2031.
