Annual number of protests in Tunisia 2010-2023
As of March 2023, around 151 protests took place in Tunisia. Protests in the country have increased significantly between 2019 and 2021, with society demanding reforms to tackle the high unemployment levels, inflation, and poverty. In 2020, despite the restrictions on gatherings due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the country recorded a high number of demonstrations.
