In 2022, the Port of Tokyo handled approximately 2.38 million TEU of container imports, surpassing all other major ports in Japan. Located in the Keihin region, the Port of Tokyo, the Port of Yokohama, and the Port of Kawasaki, the three 'Keihin Ports', are classified by law for their significance as 'International Strategy Ports'. Despite being referred to as a group, different corporations operate them separately.
