Hungary: must funded companies 2022

In 2022, 4iG was the most funded Hungarian company with nearly 890 million U.S. dollars' worth of funds raised. Wizz Air ranked second with a total funding amount of over 517 million dollars and it was followed by SEON with 108 million U.S. dollars' worth of funds.

Bitrise benefits from the biggest investment in 2021

The company founded in 2015 closed the biggest deal on the Hungarian startup market in 2021, as they received an investment worth 60 million U.S. dollars in the last quarter of the year. The startup focusing on automating daily application development tasks planned to spend the received funds on hiring new employees and expanding its product enabling developers to operate with more ease in the continuous integration and delivery space and achieve a better observability of the DevOps lifecycle.

Fintech startups in Hungary

As of 2022, Barion Payment was the most funded fintech company in the country having raised a total funding amount of 4.5 million euros. It was followed by INLOCK, a crypto-based landing platform, with a total funding amount of 1.8 million euros.
