Japan: demand for major construction materials 2022

In the fiscal year 2021, the demand for wood in Japan reached 9.12 million cubic meters, up by 12.1 percent compared to the previous year. The demand for ordinary steel was forecast at 19 million tons, up by 0.6 percent compared to fiscal 2021.
