Supplementary notes

The body mass index (BMI) is calculated based on the height and weight of a person. Depending on the score, BMI values are classified as follows
Underweight: <18.4 kg/m²
Healthy weight: from 18.5 kg/m² to 24.9 kg/m²
Overweight: 25 kg/m² to 29.9 kg/m²
Obesity I: 30 kg/m² to 34.9 kg/m²
Obesity II: 35 kg/m² to 39.9 kg/m²
Obesity III: > 39.9 kg/m²

Although BMI scores serve as a guideline to determining whether a person has a healthy weight, there are additional factors to be considered when a diagnosis is made, such as the level of muscle and body type.
