As of 2024, a stock of some 36,000 fuel cell electric cars was in circulation in South Korea, contributing to it being the country with the largest FCEV fleet across vehicle segments of the countries surveyed. In contrast, no trucks using fuel cell electric propulsion were in use in the country. This pattern was observable across most of the countries recorded, where cars and buses were the most popular segments for fuel-cell vehicle propulsion.
