Share of nursing home conditions in residents in the U.S. 2015
This statistic shows selected conditions among nursing home residents in the United States in 2015. In that year, 51.3 percent of residents had Alzheimer's type dementia. In Americans over the age of 65, almost 70 percent will require long-term care. As the U.S. senior population grows, there will be increased pressure from the quantity and quality of long-term health care facilities.
