This statistic shows the most common payment options offered by online shops in Germany in 2017. That year, roughly 90.4 percent of online shops accepted payments via credit card, making it the second most common option offered in German web stores. At the time of the survey, around 14 percent of the leading B2C online stores in Germany offered payment on pickup. This statistic originates from a study conducted in cooperation with the EHI Retail Institute for the ninth time. The study, E-Commerce Market in Germany in 2017, lists the 1,000 largest German online shops for consumer goods (with a focus on B2C), based on online revenues generated in 2016.
