New dwellings completed in Northern Ireland 2000-2021
In 2021, there were 7,430 new homes completed in Northern Ireland. The number of housing units finished fell between 2019 and 2020, but they increased again in 2021. Before the financial crisis of 2007, the housing bubble helped the construction industry reach its highest completion values to date, peaking in 2004.
