This statistic displays the share of businesses where there was an effective contingency plan to deal with the most disruptive breach in the last twelve months in the United Kingdom (UK) as of February 2018. Among all respondents, 49 percent had an effective contingency plan in place to deal with the most disruptive breach or attack. With respect to business size, large and medium firms had the highest share of companies to have an effective contingency plan with a share of 65 percent.
Concerning the size of businesses, micro businesses had two to nine employees, small businesses had 10 to 49 employees, medium businesses had 50 to 249 employees and large businesses had 250 employees or more.
