Distribution of recipients of company reports about cyberattacks in Italy 2018

This statistic displays the results of a survey on the distribution of recipients of reports about cyberattacks made by companies in Italy in 2018. A cyberattack is the deliberate exploitation of computer systems, technology-dependent enterprises and networks. Cyberattacks use malicious code to alter computer code, logic or data, resulting in disruptive consequences that can compromise data and lead to cybercrimes, such as information and identity theft. During the survey period, it was found that 10.4 percent of the respondents reported the attack to security authorities, while in 15.8 percent of cases the attack was not reported externally.
