Driving licenses issued among females India FY 2020, by state
There were around 3.07 million driving licenses issued among females across the Indian state of Tamil Nadu in fiscal year 2020. The total newly issued driving licenses was over 10.5 million that year, out of which 14.9 percent were for women. And the overall cumulative valid driver licenses in India that year was over 236 million, out of which 6.8 percent were female drivers. There was also a considerably increase in the number of registered vehicles across the south Asian country during the measured time period.
