Food and beverage expenditure in hospitality industry the Netherlands 2018, by sector
In 2018, consumer expenditure on out-of-home food and drinks in the Dutch hospitality sector generated over 12.5 billion euros in total. The restaurant sector was most profitable in 2018, with nearly half of the total consumer expenditure coming from this sector, while spending in the accomodation sector was significantly lower, at roughly 1.9 billion euros.
