Influenza vaccinations among health care personnel by requirement U.S. 2017-2018

This statistic shows the percentage of health care personnel in the U.S. who had received an influenza vaccination in 2017-2018, by employer vaccination requirement. It was found that 96.6 percent of health care personnel in hospitals that required employee vaccinations had received an influenza vaccination, compared to just 40 percent of hospital health care personnel at hospitals that did not have such requirements.

* Ambulatory care (physician’s office, medical clinic, and other ambulatory care setting).
** Dentist office or dental clinic, pharmacy, laboratory, public health setting, health care education setting, emergency medical services setting, or other setting where clinical care or related services was provided to patients.
