This statistic illustrates the share of success factors in successful and unsuccessful deals made in the three years up to 2017. It can be seen that strong project governance implemented was a key factor seen in successful deals. In all factors considered, respondents that had seen a successful deal in the previous 3 years had a far higher achievement rate as compared to those whose M&A deals were unsuccessful.
