In 2018, it was estimated that nearly 15.4 percent of the population with a disability in Mexico was neither poor nor vulnerable, while 22.4 percent of the population without a disability was considered in that situation. This means that disabled persons in Mexico have a higher chance of facing poverty and other social vulnerabilities than people who are not disabled.
