Motorization rate in Italy 2018, by city
As of 2018, the Italian cities with the highest motorization rate were Aosta, and Trento, with more than three cars per inhabitant. Bolzano followed with 2.22 cars per inhabitant. The motorization rate in these cities was considerably higher than the national average. In contrast, Venice and Genoa had the lowest motorization rates, under 50 cars per 100 inhabitants.
