In 2020, the earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) of LATAM Airlines fell into negative territory for the first time since the mid-2010s. In the previous years, the company's annual EBITDA surpassed the two billion U.S dollars. The EBITDA of LATAM Airlines bounced back in 2021 reaching 46.1 million U.S. dollars, still a significantly inferior figure compared to 2019.
