As of May 25, 2020, there were 20 deaths due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) on the cruise ship Ruby Princess in Australia, compared to three deaths due to COVID-19 in Alfred Hospital. A number of coronavirus outbreak clusters also occurred in residential aged care facilities, of which Newmarch House saw the highest number of casualties due to the virus.
