Number of reported piracy and robbery attacks in Asia by location of incident 2021
The Malacca Strait recorded the highest number of reported acts of alleged piracy and robbery attacks committed against ships in Asia in 2021. That year, a total of 69 incidents were reported in the strait, the majority of them in international waters.
