Usage rate of QR code payment at convenience stores in Japan 2019, by age
According to a survey conducted in Japan in 2019, approximately six percent of the 25 to 34-year-old respondents used QR code payment at convenience stores. While cash payment remains prevalent among consumers, major convenience store operators have announced the full implementation of QR code payments in their stores.
