In April 2022, the regulated tariff of the average retail price of low voltage electricity in Japan amounted to 28.1 Japanese yen per kilowatt hour. The average retail price of low voltage electricity supplied by incumbent utilities was lower, reaching 22.5 Japanese yen per kilowatt hour in that month.
