Gasoline imports from Petróleos Mexicanos, commonly known as Pemex, have decreased for roughly half a decade. In 2023, Mexico's national oil corporation imported around 427 thousand barrels per day of the fuel, which represented an increase of some 22 percent when compared to 2021. Pemex's gasoline production has also declined continuously in recent years.
