YouTube app monthly active users (MAU) worldwide 2018-2021

As of the fourth quarter of 2021, the YouTube mobile app was counting 866 million monthly active users (MAU) worldwide on iPhone and iPad combined. By comparison, monthly active YouTube users on the Android app were roughly 23.76 million worldwide. YouTube app MAU on iOS experienced a sudden increase between the first and the second quarter of 2020, probably due to the increase in mobile apps usage brought by the global coronavirus pandemic outbreak. The number of Android YouTube MAU peaked during the last quarter of 2019 and has been decreasing ever since.
