Convenience store retail sales share in Japan 2013-2022
In 2022, convenience stores accounted for a 7.9 percent sales share within the retail sector in Japan, remaining on a similar level as the previous years. Japanese convenience stores, commonly known as konbini, are mainly operated as chain and franchise stores under the three main domestic brands Seven Eleven, FamilyMart, and Lawson.
